ALL VOLUNTEERS - If a person is listed as a "lead" on your shift, that simply means they will be available to answer questions and deal with problems should they arrise. Depending on the area, they may or may not need to be on the floor (Toysitters and Operations will almost always have active leads on the floor.)


ATTENTION LEADS - If you are listed as a lead on a shift (and you will see a lot of them,) you are expected to:
- Be findable (which means be reachable by phone and/or letting people know where you're going, as well as letting people know you're alive when you start/end)
- Deal with questions or problems in your area (i.e. getting a shift covered, explaining how to do a task, etc.)
- Periodically check on your area to make sure things go somoothly (at least once per shift is fine)

You are NOT expected to:

- Check into ops for every session (unless scheduled as a volunteer, more on that below)
- Remain in the area at all times (Toysitter leads see below)
- Go hungry (yes you can go out to eat you are FINE)
- Feel like you can't go out to do something (just let us know where you're going / when you're back!)

---A Couple of Exceptions, Please Read---
- Toysitter leads have short and specific times during the day and should always treat their lead role like a regular volunteer shift - they need to be present! (The Toysitter Manager role is an all day affair, so this does not apply to them.)
- If you are scheduled on a shift as a Volunteer and NOT a lead, this is a regular shift - you still need to clock in and be in person for your shift!
- On that note, PLEASE CHECK ALL OF YOUR SHIFTS, AS SCHED WILL NOT TELL YOU WHETHER YOU ARE A LEAD OR REGULAR VOLUNTEER UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY CLICK ON YOUR SHIFTS!
